Do You Want To Do DoA Clears? Speak Up!

Do You Want To Do DoA Clears? Speak Up!
Is Your Mind On Your Money And Is Your Money On Your Mind?
Everyone has been spending a lot of time lately learning how to do DoA and we're well on the way to becoming adept at it. Well, that simply isn't good enough. Our goal is to get as many interested people in the guild familiar with not only the current build, but DoA in general, to prepare ourselves for whatever game changes that may occur after the upcoming Shadow Form-nerf Skill Balance. This means we will not only need an abundance of current clear group classes at DoA, but potentially other ones as well, so get movin' on getting your characters up there who aren't!
If you are interested in being a part of this DoA lovefest, please read and respond accordingly to the What's Your DoA Character Readiness And Your Availability? thread in our Service & Activity forum.
If you make the effort towards working at getting your characters ready for DoA and keeping your interest post up-to-date in the process, there will be a concerted effort on the part of everyone else to get you ready AND involved in the runs themselves. Mark my words on this.
If you aren't interested in DoA specifically but would like to make some extra in-game cash on the side of your preferred activities, I'd personally ask you to spend some farming time accumulating consets that the guild's DoA groups can purchase off of you (for market-value pricing, or course). No guild discount required for those... and I WILL object to anyone who demands one from you. You are allowed to make money off of everyone else in the guild making money too, even if you choose to play elsewhere than DoA. (For obvious reasons, general profiteering off of guildies is discouraged, but nobody will object to using a cut of their DoA profits.)
All things being equal, we'd rather pay the conset prices to a member of the guild rather than some random Dervish in Spamadan. Share the wealth!
Thanks for your time spent reading this. Hopefully we can get as many guild members acclimated to the DoA area as possible and build up a nice Guild Wars community reputation for ourselves as an elite DoA guild! If not, we can just have a great time anyways.

Guild Wars Guru Security Notice!

Guild Wars Guru Security Notice!
This Is A Direct Quote From A *VERY IMPORTANT* Guru Thread:
Guild Wars Guru Security Notice
| Quote: |
Late Friday night the Guild Wars Guru database was accessed by an unknown third party. We caught it as it happened, but in that short space of time it appears they may have managed to obtain tables of user account information.
Their point of entry was a flaw in the WordPress software used to run the GuildWars2Guru.com front page. How they managed to get from there to the other databases is unknown right now, as it involved bypassing other security measures we have in place.
We've spent the 24 last hours tirelessly investigating what happened, patching up the exploit, and further strengthening security. It was important to inform the community as soon as possible, but we couldn't do that any earlier without advertising the site's vulnerability to others who may have more malicious intent.
So, what does this mean to you?
With the high incident of RMT hackings and phishing across MMO's rising we understand how serious this problem is, and the possible implications arising from this incident. Right now we assume the hacker's motivation was simply to obtain the list of email addresses, for the purpose of sending spam. That may seem fairly mundane, but there's a big market for that information.
Anything more sinister would require the hacker attempting to crack encrypted passwords. The investment required to do that seems to far outweigh the questionable return, though we can't rule it out. As such, we urge you to change your Guru, Guru Auctions and Guru 2 passwords and/or emails as soon as possible. We also urge you to change passwords and emails for any other site or service you log in to with the same information you use on guru.
We apologize for this unprecedented breach, and can only assure that your security is of the utmost importance to us. We are gamers as well, and are doing everything in our power to minimize the damage from this by informing our community openly. If you have questions or concerns please feel free to post them here, and we will do our best to address them as swiftly as possible.
To further protect your account please see (the Guild Wars Guru) guides on Phishing, Security, PlaySmart and Passwords. |
