In my opinion the ChatBox is an excellent idea. My only problem with the forumotion ChatBox is that the inactivity timer kicks you out after 5 minutes and has no sound. These settings are not changeable. I was looking into IRC chats which are superior to the current chat and have lots of customization. I can replace the forumotion chat with the real deal (IRC) ChatBox. The benefits are there are sounds when someone makes a message, no inactivity timer (just sets you to away), and 100x more stuff. So what does everyone think?

I personally thought this was an IRC when I first signed on XD. I'm down for IRC as another means to communicate.

Well, the IRC channel is all configured . Now Im just writing up a some commands. It should be up either later tonight or tomorrow sometime.

If you're going to get a chatbox, switch the forums to vBulletin, and use the vBulletin chatbox... just my 2 cents... not that my opinion matters. :\

seems already chosen. didnt vote. cuz im not computing atm. but the more options idea seems better. looking forward to seeing the chat box up and what nots. good way to keep in touch with those that may not log in game as much as the forums. kinda pulling the two together in a new way.

i didnt look at everything or read clearly so.. is it going to have pretty color text or font customize-able or special color for mods? since im a bit tired i dont want to attempt to sign up atm if mod sign up is open since i might do it wrong even if its not possible i may find a way. imma dork.

IRC has nothing to do with with the forums stuff. I listed some basic commands including the register command on our IRC chat page. Here is an example command to register below. Then check your email to get the verification code and type what the email tells you into the chatbox. You don't have to register, Its just an option if you want mod powers in the chatbox.

Real command: - just enter your info
/msg NickServ REGISTER password e-mail

Fake example: - with info
/msg NickServ REGISTER 123456 fake@yahoo.com

Note: don't use any personal passwords.
