Kept it simple using GW2 concept art from Guild Wars 2 site with filters and using CS5 content aware feature on the right edge because the picture was not wide enough.

Take the apostrophe out of ECTO's and it looks good.

I really like that Reaves. Especially the thing under the lettering, it fits so well with the picture.

Going to go with Reaves's banner for now. If someone comes up with something that stands out better then we can change. As it stands, we have a [meh] banner so we need something different.

Not too crazy about that banner either, Blake. And for the record, Onyx is We Play High End For Double [Onyx], not We Farm... Blake, your fonts are all over the place and largely distract from the picture they're on instead of co-existing with it. That works for signature pics but not for banners.

Shiro/Joe, in your latest banner the background image used is pretty cool, but the bland font and out of place-looking icons are turnoffs.


See how the text in Reave's banner seems to fit in with the image and isn't just thrown on there? That's what I'm going for. With Reave's Golems pic, even though it is a crop of an already-existing pic, it has a little bit of everything that makes a banner work: style, substance, and a blending-in font and accompanying icons (ie. that little hand-clasp image under the text).

Reave's banner really fits well with the forums scheme and theme IMO. I think we should go with that for the time being. Feel free to keep throwing together banners, however. If something comes along that is noticeably improved on that then we can change.
