don't listen to this mainstream bullshit of people going "omgawd it needs to blend"
blending is just a made up term of if it doesn't look like everyone's style it's worthless
you experiment and it comes out to a nice looking product then you've made art, you don't want this cookie cut style
it's about starting with a blank slate throwing stuff in it making it work in harmony and that's the real art |

But here's what you're missing... I don't know what photoshop even looks like. It's not a matter of perfecting the "art". It's a matter of using the product. The joke was not that I'm terrible at creating art (I'm actually damn good at that), it's just that I'm not good at the product that can make it happen. |

| well scott theres lots of tutorials all over the internet, and really, most of what i have learned is trial and error and just fuckin around with controls and commands for several hours seeing what i can do. and the occasional questions i ask while on gsc help me to learn new things :p |

| Yea, I downloaded gimp this weekend and have been working on my sig. It's not done, but so far, I'm liking where it's heading. At least with what I've got to work with. I'm having trouble finding good backgrounds to start with. |

| Personally when I make a sig, I tend to make my own backgrounds using the colours of the main image. Makes it blend in nicely. |

| Trust me when I say it's far too much to ask for. I'll have lots of time in the next few days to play with it. I'll post here when I'm done, but what I have for now is a close up pic of a sun with solar flares as the background. Then I'm taking pics of my 4 main characters to place in front of them. Once that's all done, I'm going to search dafont.com for fonts that I feel represent each character best. It's busy, but I think it'll look good when it's all done. |

| go for it, i chose to do the travel the world thing which ended up a short trip. great adventure but different one than i had in mind like 12 years ago... I think my art teacher was disappointed i didnt go to school for art... but i sold a few paintings and drawings here and there.. so I didnt completely fail. lol! i just find inspirations that may or may not be related to the idea it inspires in my head for art... n stuff... im random.. or so john says. who apparently lazy. |

| Uh, dude, you already asked that same f'n question and got a "Yes" response. How the hell did Blake's words, "be glad to!", go over your head?
Blake has to get a pic of you in-game so he can customize your signature to your actual main character's look. He doesn't just throw them together without any type of motivation or visual inspiration. ______________________ |

| Okay, well i think I'm finally settling into school here. That being said, I can be in-game more, as well as start making some signatures for the forum. Soooo, if I cant catch you in-game for screen shots, take them yourself, and convert the file type to .png and post here. (The .png is important, so the file retains its quality.) |
