Ive been doing a little bit of research into the whole thing and ive done my fair share of farming/ chest running just for something to do. Some people believe different things on the subject and there is alot of debate. I dont know if anyone has any valid insight into it but it seems to me like it is most likely that the q8s drop still in proph/factions but only for certain types of weapons. Q7s are needless to say "rare" and I was unable to find any confirmed pictures of drops post nightfall. I know that they are more likely to drop if the mobs are in the 16-20 lvl range.
Anyway.....Ive got a few question that I would like answered

Whats your opinion on whether q7s still drop?
Where you think the best places to farm them are?
Whether q8 inscribable golds still drop?
Best place to Chest Run for them?
If something can drop white with max stats can it drop with the same req Gold?

I found this recently it pretty much lays out the reqs for weapons according to it the only things that still drop q8 are shields swords and offhands. I think the best places to farm low req weapons seems to be mantid farming,vermin farming, and pretty much anything else thats in that ~lvl 20 range. Though I do see q8 inscr blue shields dropping in HM doa all the time.
