PostSubject: Interest in DoA HM    2010-11-01, 10:36 pm

I am wanting to start up a few DoA groups for completely Full Runs on a weekly basis, ideally doing it a few times a week. I am familiar with a few builds and have extreme interest in a couple more. See the list below. If you are interested, please put the characters you have which have complete Nightfall and have access to the Domain of Anguish, even if they are not present in the builds below as it may lead to us uncovering a new build or new way to complete this wonderfully amusing Elite area. =]

Frostway:
PvX Link: http://pvx.wikia.com/wiki/Build:Team_-_DoA_Frostway

Frostway is run much the same way as Glaiveway is, it uses Destructive was Glaive as its main form of damage dealing (the Glaive Rits also act as tanks). The repeatable succession of the Ritualists dropping DwG inflicts massive damage to all foes crowded around them. It utilizes a Panic Mesmer which, well it does what Mesmers do best, causing an AoE interrupt on all skills used by targets adjacent to the target. The Mesmer is also hex support for the IMBAgon (A Paragon who uses shouts to reduce the damage taken to the entire party), using the convert hex the Panic Mesmer removes possibly build inflicting hexes such as: Vocal Minority, Soothing Images, Faintheartedness, and the sort. I have already covered the IMBA's build, more specifically the IMBAgon is a Paragon/Warrior, whose main skills to reduce damage and are essential for the build to make it through the majority of DoA are "There is Nothing to Fear" and "Save Yourselves!" (SY may be used as shorthand/quick form). The Monks are relatively basic and should one have a monk do not really need an explanation; Frostway uses both UA and HB, the sole thing that may require a bit of a walk-through is that the UA needs to stay atop of Resurrecting and maintaining Spotless Mind on the IMBAgon to help reduce the amount of hexes on him. As stated above the main damage reduction comes from the IMBA maintaining SY on the entire party. The last spot is filled by a Soul Twisting Ritualist using Winter and Edge of Extinction, the DwGs and Panic carry Mantra of Frost for energy management and more damage reduction thus the name of the build. This is another crucial part of this build. In fact everything is pretty strict in terms of build wise.

So the consists of the following:

Rt/Me - DwG Ritualist||Me/Rt - DwG Mesmer(X3)
Spoiler:

Me/Mo - Panic Mesmer
Spoiler:

Rt/R - ST Ritualist
Spoiler:

Mo/Me - HB Monk (using Arcane Mimicry for UA)
Spoiler:

Mo/any - UA Monk
Spoiler:

P/W - IMBAgon
Spoiler:

Fragway:
PvX Link: http://pvx.wikia.com/wiki/Build:Team_-_DoA_Fragway

This is essentially a balanced spike using a Shadow Form Assassins and four casters to take out the mobs within the Domain of Anguish. Hopefully. The build requires the following:

Sliver Tank:

E/A - Obsidian Flesh Elementalist
Spoiler:

Main Tank:
A/E - Shadow Form Assassin (Similar build to FoWSC MT)
Spoiler:

Main Team:
Spoiler:

Trenchway:
PvX Link: http://pvx.wikia.com/wiki/Build:Team_-_DoA_Trenchway

I have only ran this build once but it is a hell of a lot of fun and has the possibility of completing the DoA in HM in under 2 consets (24 Minute Record) The build is ran similar to that of Fragway using SF Tanks to pull and ball the mobs of DoA together for the Mesmer to spike. I'm slightly biased about this builds because Mesmer > All but it is effective and is fun. The build looks like the following:

Main Tank:
Spoiler:

Trench Tank:
Spoiler:

Spikers:
Spoiler:

Mo/E - Seed of Life
Spoiler:

E/Mo - Bonder
Spoiler:

The Route+Explaniations

There are more builds, these are just builds I have heard of and Ran before. I'm also fairly certain of their success rate for experienced players with the builds. With that being said however, I would love to teach and learn these builds with a Guild/Alliance based team. I am aware that there are plenty of us who are experienced with DoA and would like to get a team together to play with, there are also plenty of us who would like to get to know DoA whether for Armbraces for the Ectos/worth or Tormented weapons for the HoM or hell, just for a change of pace.

Please if you are interested and have characters close to these or any characters which have completed Nightfall and are ready or close to ready to do the Domain of Anguish. Please post those characters, professions, builds you are interested/experienced in, and times that are possibly available to start up and I will make a list and maybe post a poll or so for what days and times will work best for everyone, even if not, at least we are aware of what people are able to run and available to form builds in Guild Chat. Thank you for reading/interest.

With love,

Blood

I'm interested in this. I've done a few Frostways (HM) with my monk.

I also did DWG (NM) as monk, paragon, DWG and panic. Besides I have a necro and a sin in DoA as well.

Now that we have GMike, the DoA-phile in the alliance, maybe we could get him to do some DoA SCs.

Definitely. If there are those who are interested in the Alliance I would love to have them along. I love DoA, and since I mean you two have posted I know that there is at least interest in the officer ranks of the guild I will start forming Fragways and Trenchways =]

I am interested. I have the following currently in DoA: Mo, Ele, Sin, and Ranger. I'm presently working on getting my Rit and Mes there. I don't possess a Para(palegic).

City

First Pull A/N

Second Pull A/ME

DF ESurge is off damage so either Mimic Glyph of Renewal or Vor for more damage

City Wall: DF ESurge on Su’s Remainer on Tuk’s

A/N Goes left and A/Me Right inside

A/Me does Jadoth pull

Veil

Get quest and Spike group so the A/N can go in trench to Pull monk lord and Prep Gloom

EoE down for first spike then A/Me Swaps closer for next spike that is tanked by EMO.

Spikers go to normal spot for the run around

Kill Derv, Monk, Ranger Lords then do second trench.

A/Me stay up to top swap EoE for Trench Spike

Clover Pull

A/Me and Me/Mo Split off to kill Necro Lord

Remainder Kill the Ele Lord.

Tendrils

Either 3-3 with trench pop or 4-2 with last spike in trench on way to gloom

DF ESurge Far (Mimic Glyph of renewal to get of 2 PI’s for 4-2)

Me/N Mid

Me/Mo and VoR Close

Gloom

A/Me, Perma Seed, and EMO split off to portal

Remainder spike A/N ball and cave ball then off to Darkness spikes.

A/N runs quests

Foundry
A/Me tanks first, second, forth room A/N helps body block if required

Third room A/Me left A/N right

Firth room A/Me main tanks and swaps sprits to clear path to run through middle or around

A/N gets snakes

Me/N tanks Black Beast

A/N prepares for Fury

DF ESurge is off damage so either Mimic Glyph of Renewal or Vor for more damage because mimic is not only for UA

always Backfire Ki’s and Mistrust Rider’s

Rough guide on how to do DoA trench way. It is easier than it sounds. I will need another tank so i am going to need someone who has a sin at DoA and a vague knowledge of DoA and the quests. Those arent the EXACT bars we will be using but close enough for you to get all the skills you need.

We need 4 Mesmers with r9 SS and R5 asuran. these ranks are really fast to get and are essential for successful runs.

An Emo.

A Perma Seed Monk with R9 SS <---- for seed of life, with out that rank seed will not be perma

r8 isn't important, you gain lightbringer pretty fast in DoA. r6 would be plenty, and monk doesn't really need any!

Mesmer is at DoA, off to do EoTN for her, for pve skills/etc, and then will run my rit through nf & do the same Smile

Yes, r9 ss on the memser and monk is essentail. for the because of seed of life is a sunspear skills and gains the max amount of time at rank 9, Pve skills such as Necrosis and Cry of Pain are the reason for the r9 on the mesmers. And r5 asuran on the memsers because that is what kills the smothering tendrils in veil. for a Big boom pop of enemies and SPIKE.

Gmike I don't think you have any idea how exp'ed most of [트두므s] is, I can understand seed of life needing to stay up, but if we were going to turn a guild mesmer away for being r7-8, well we're not going to have anywhere near a full party. I understand if you want to enforce those for alliance runs, but we're at the 'guild practise run/train people up' stage.

It takes a few hours to get R9 ss. on anything, by doing SS/lb from remains of salhaja or out side of township. These is no need for low titles, risky the run and the overall pleasure of doa.

Here is a great video of the Trencher, pretty much anyone should be able to do trench after seeing this, it also shows the basic tactics for the entire team in the rest of the areas when the tank is with the team.

Decent Job in DoA tonight guys, few things to work on emo keeping bonds. laying EoE while the ball is being made, and Spiking as soon as the ball is done.

After a few runs you guys will be doing great, doing pulls and spike perfectly in sync with the tanks. dont give up hope. Keep working on getting your guild to have memsers spikers for better faster runs.
