A few months ago ectos were routinely around 7-8k. Now I see they are constantly hovering around the 9.5k-11k mark. I haven't been playing much Guild Wars over the past few weeks. Is there some specific reason why the prices have jumped so much in such a short span (I mean, the ecto prices were pretty static at that 7-8k mark for MONTHS) or have people finally run out of things to spend their money on and are thus stockpiling ectos?



Anyone know?

I think people are farming them less... I mean if people dont get them, and the trader doesn't see them, prices will go up. There are no new BIG items in game that people are blowing every ecto on, so i think its a matter of the farmers. But, if that were the case, ectos are the ONLY thing going up, not including weapons/items that are exclusive to UW or anything.

I think it has to do with this HoM craze and people wanting to get a fow armor set... That and people are greedy and will push the prices up as far as possible to make a little extra cash.

Shards are up too So it's not a stockpiling ectos thing, as shards aren't used as currency. I'd guess FoW armor for HoM

I though ectos went up to 10-12k when Wintersday began.

I noticed during SD, that people where running to the rare mat trader after runs figured they where just buying ectos from him instead of town thus the price increase.
