Just wanted to brief all my old friends, that i will be going to PAX 2011 to play guildwars 2! I will be sure to update everyone here on how the current demo is!

Be sure to NOT mention Shadow Form one bit! One year Kendrali Memmax (Andy) went to PAX and *BOOM*... a couple of months later we got that February Shadow Form "nerf". He's the one who asked Linsey about SF at the show. (So blame him for physical damage being able to hit you now.)

Couldnt get videos, played in 3D. it wouldnt work out woulda been all blurry.

I watched the extended PAX Thief demo gameplay video. Yeah, the combat in GW2 is going to be this game's main drawing card, and that is saying something especially considering how much more in-depth the character customization and pretty much everything else will be compared to GW1. The combat looks so damn fun that I mean it when I say that I'm going to be 50% PvE and 50% PvP in GW2. It actually looks like it takes skill to play a character well rather than copying a template code from PvX and following step-by-step instructions (especially with how spontaneous teamwork combos can be).

I haven't seen one class that looks boring to play. This game is going to be a monster.

Are the controls (roughly) similar to the controls in GW1?

umm jump =spacebar (that through me off at first trying to attack shit lol) F= action key like spacebar is for GW1. skills are 1-0 weapon swap is ~. mana potion is B. pretty much the same slight changes but its not bad..

Sounds like the controls will be more like an FPS. I'm used to using spacebar for jumping and F key for the 'use' key. Nice. Weird that weapon swap is ~. Wonder if the F1-F4 keys will be used for something else now?
