Guild Wars 7-Day Special Drops Event (Extended To 8 Days)

Starting At Noon Pacific On Friday, March 11th, 2011, Through 11:59 PM Pacific On Thursday, March 17th, 2011, Players Will Be Able To Gather Shamrock Ales And Four-Leaf Clovers As Random Drops Throughout All The Lands Of Tyria. Enjoy The Week Ahead, And Remember: Think Green!

Awesome. Not only will I be farming my ass off for Shamrock Ales, I'll also probably be buying alcohol, assuming that the price will be low. A 6-day alcohol drop event will surely lower the price (at least for Shamrock Ale)

I'm thinking about maxing drunkard... Mayyybe. My goal's 20 clover stacks.

Epic Timing with this event I'm on my Spring Break in T-Minus 3hr53 minutes.

I've spent the past two nights trying to relive the glory days as a farming zombie for the special drops, but I just don't think I have it in me anymore to spend that much time grinding except for rare occasions. I'd probably be better off just farming gold somewhere to buy alcohol/clovers in town instead of farming those things outright. I'm more interested in the golden eggs and bunnies coming up soon for the Easter drops so I think I'll just get what I can now and save my all-nighter zombie strength for then.


I did get a chance to mess around a bit with the Sin Vaettir farming builds (A/Mo and A/Me) for the first time ever. Pretty easy to figure out (and the A/Me is especially fast!). I love that Shadow Form has a damage-reduction stacking bug that lets you exploit the skill even further, lol. As I've mentioned in the past, ANet is terrible at properly implementing skills with counters.

I get in the spirit of Saint Patrick's Day. Nothing fancy--green milk, green shirts, and thoughts of the green, glorious days of spring! I hope we all have a nice and peaceful celebration!
